Meet Jackie Olsen WTS, FWTS
Certified Trichologist
Hair loss isn’t random.
And it’s rarely just about the hair.
I’m Jackie Olsen, WTS, FWTS
Certified Trichologist and founder of Rooted Trichology Clinic, serving South East Saskatchewan.
As a trichologist, I specialize in the conditions, disorders, and diseases of the scalp and hair, including alopecia. My work is focused on identifying what’s happening beneath the surface and building targeted, clinically informed solutions to support both scalp health and hair restoration.
I am proud to be South East Saskatchewan’s first Certified Trichologist, with advanced certifications in both clinical and holistic trichology, along with a diploma in Diet & Nutrition, specializing in the relationship between internal health, the scalp, and hair growth.
In April 2024, I was elected Fellow of the World Trichology Society, a recognition awarded to practitioners who meet a high level of educational and professional standards within the field of trichology.
My background in agriculture, including certified organic and regenerative practices, continues to shape how I approach this work, with a deep understanding that what we grow is only as healthy as the environment it comes from.
That same principle applies to the scalp.
In clinic, my focus goes beyond the hair itself. I assess the follicle environment looking at inflammation, internal drivers, and overall scalp function using advanced trichoscopy, targeted in-clinic testing, and clinical evaluation.
To support this level of care, I built a private clinic designed to offer a more complete, clinical experience; where assessment, testing, and treatment can be done with intention and continuity.
I’ve recently expanded my clinical focus to include:
• scalp biofilm disruption and removal
• supportive protocols for scarring alopecia
With continued advanced education, including clinical immersion training in Atlanta, Georgia, my goal is to bring a higher level of trichology care to this region.
Because even when symptoms look the same the cause often isn’t.
And that’s where real change begins.
If your hair isn’t responding the way it should there’s usually a reason.

“When preparing your soil to establish a healthy crop the proper ratio of nutrition in the soil is a huge contributing factor in the equation to balanced nutrition in the food it bears. A very similar analogy goes for hair. Treating the scalp as the soil for the hair will allow for the proper nutrition ratios and absorption. Keeping the scalp balanced and cared for while allowing for the proper maintenance. There needs to be a balance and the proper ratios of nutrition for strong healthy sustainable growth. There is much more to the equation, but let’s begin by getting the scalp in optimal condition.”

We offer evidence-based evaluation +
whole-body insight -- because hair doesn't grow
in isolation from the rest of you.
Targeting The Root Cause

Scalp
Scalp discomforts should not be disregarded. The scalp needs to be balanced and functioning properly in order to grow, and sustain healthy hair.

Hair
The hair is only as healthy as it’s scalp. In order to have healthy sustainable hair there must be a balanced and functional scalp microbiome.

Detoxification
Toxins can contribute to the scalp conditions, disorders and diseases, including hair loss.

Testing
At Rooted Trichology Clinic, we don't guess, we test. We offer a variety of tests to aid in getting to the root cause of your hair loss and scalp disorder concerns.

Nutrition is very important for scalp, hair and hair loss recovery, as well as for preventative measures. Lets make sure you are getting the appropriate nutrients for your specific needs.
